Biography
Nicolás Bedoya is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer specializing in original music for film, theater, and video games, with an approach that blends Colombian musical traditions with advanced technology. He is the founder and director of Compositorio, a collective of composers for film and theater, and has created music for award-winning and internationally nominated short films, such as “FICUS”.
His prominent industry credits include creating digital orchestrations and arrangements for streaming series such as “Higuita, El camino del escorpión” for Netflix, as well as developing additional music and virtual instruments for documentaries and films on multiple streaming platforms. He also composed and produced the original score for the feature film “El Arte de Insistir”.
Throughout his career, Nicolás has provided composition assistance for high-profile projects, including “El árbol de la abundancia” with the Bogotá Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Complementing his professional trajectory, he was awarded a scholarship for the Master’s in Film and Video Game Scoring at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria.
